From August 10 to 16, 2026, the city of Vranje, Serbia, will once again become a hub of children’s animation and creativity as it hosts the 16th International Children’s Animation Workshop – Golden Snail 2026.
Seven days of creativity, learning, and collaboration will bring together young participants from Serbia and abroad, who will work alongside experienced mentors to develop, animate, and complete their own film projects. During the workshop, three new animated films will be created using three different animation techniques. Along the way, participants will exchange ideas, build new friendships, and create memories that will last far beyond the summer.
The animation groups will be led by professional animators from China, Belgium, and Serbia.
In addition, a documentary film will be produced throughout the workshop, capturing its atmosphere in an engaging and humorous way and offering a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process.
For many years, Golden Snail has brought together talented children and young people from different countries, proving that imagination and creativity know no boundaries.
