The public institution School of Animated Film from Vranje announced a prize-winning Art Competition on the theme “Winter Magic” in December 2024. The competition announcement was distributed to primary schools in the city of Vranje. Students submitted their works in two categories: children from first to fourth grade and children from fifth to eighth grade. The main idea of the competition was to encourage children to engage in creative work, which is very important for them in the era of new media, in a topic that allows them great freedom.
The competition received 146 works in both categories from almost all schools in the city, as well as individual works. There were many interesting works, experimental, works in pencil, tempera and watercolor, etc.
The works were examined in detail by a committee consisting of: Jasmina Stojanović, director of the JU ŠAF, Nela Ćurčija, graphic editor, and Snezana Trajković, program editor at the JU ŠAF. The work of the committee for evaluating the works was not easy. We took into account the age of the participants, their abilities, dedication, details, composition, work technique and other segments of a work of art. One work in particular stood out as the best in both categories. It is the work of the extraordinarily talented Mila Đorđević, a student of 7/2 of the Branko Radičević Elementary School, who has been participating in the competition for many years. In addition to talent, Mila also possesses excellent technique and this time she deservedly wins the Grand Prix. The committee awarded three works in each category, taking into account the idea, imagination, quality of workmanship, details and overall impression. We would like to congratulate all the awarded students and those who “missed out” on the award this time, we wish them not to give up and continue to create.

Second place: Anastasija Stošić, seventh grade (VII/3) OS Branislav Nušić Rataje,
Third place: Kosta Stamenković, fifth grade (V/2) OS Branko Radičević Vranje.
